The winery
The Clos des Roses bastide consists of a 10-hectare vineyard that is grown according to organic farming standards and is mainly located in the wine region of Côtes de Provence AOC. The Clos des Roses country house is located on the Fréjus terroir and is a family property. Characteristic of the estate is that it is one of the few in France to have a volcanic underground. The red stone, characteristic of Estérel, contributes to the wealth of this small vineyard that produces mainly rosé wine, but also white and red, in the name Côtes de Provence (AOC) and Vin de Pays des Maures (IGP).
Raised with great care, the wines express themselves with character and finesse. The Clos des Roses palette, composed of nine different grape varieties, offers clear rosé and white wines, with floral and fruit aromas whose freshness is so characteristic of the Provencal terroir. As for the red, the silky smoothness and balance combine with an aromatic complexity that produces quality cuvées. For example, Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Rolle are planted for Côtes de Provence (AOC); Merlot, Cabernet, Viognier and Sauvignon blanc for Vins de Pays (IGP).
