Short introduction
During this 5-day wine trip to the Greek capital Athens and the Peloponnese you start with a glass of wine as a welcome drink on one of the most beautiful rooftop bars in Athens with a view of the Acropolis at sunset! In the following days you will visit 6 wineries where you will taste delicious local wines and have some beautiful sights, perfect for beautiful photos. You will also travel through authentic villages on the way to the wineries. Eventually you come home with the best memories.

Wine tour program
DAY 1 – FLIGHT TO ATHENS, GREECE (D)
Today you will arrive in Athens, Greece. Upon arrival, transfer to Faliro, one of the nicest areas of Athens by the sea with a nice promenade to relax. You are expected in one of the nicest rooftop bars in town for a glass of wine as a welcome drink. Then you pay a short visit to the new culture museum with the new opera and national library.
After this you will get a tour of some of the best sights of Athens, one of the oldest cities in the world.
At the end of the day you check in at your hotel and you can relax. This is followed by a dinner in a wine restaurant with delicious Greek meals and matching Greek wines.

DAY 2: ATHENS (O, L, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, set off for a cultural and culinary walk through the historic center of Athens. You discover neighborhoods such as Plaka and Monastiraki. During this culinary and cultural walk you will taste the traditional “koulouri” and “bougatsa” in an Athenian bakery, “Greek coffee” in a cafe in Plaka, “pasteli” etc.
Around noon, head for a traditional meze for lunch near the bustling central market of Athens. You get a typical lunch with of course matching wines. After lunch, you leave for Mesogaia and Attika. During this afternoon you will visit the only organic climatic winery in Greece and wine tasting.
After returning to Athens, you have some free time. After this you are expected for dinner in a wine restaurant.
Overnight.
DAY 3: ATHENS – PELOPONNESE – NAFPLION (B, D)
After breakfast at your hotel you leave for the Peloponnese and the wine region called the Nemea wine region. Along the way you make a stopover at the Corinth Canal. After arrival in the wine region, two wine tastings are planned at two top wineries.
At the end of the afternoon you take a walking tour through the lovely town of Nafplion. Dinner in a wine restaurant.
Overnight in Nafplion.
DAY 4: PELOPONNESE – NAFPLION (B, D)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover the Mantineia wine region. During most of the day you will visit two of the most characteristic wineries in this region. A wine tasting is on the program at every winery.
Return to Nafplion. After some free time, dinner in a wine restaurant.
Overnight in Nafplion.
DAY 5: DEPARTURE (O)
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Athens. Upon arrival, you will visit a winery near Athens and wine tasting. After this you will get a transfer to the airport of Athens located about 15 minutes and fly back to your home for an early evening arrival … or an extension of your trip to another beautiful wine region of Greece. If you want to extend your wine trip, you can also go to one of the islands such as Crete, Santorini or Lemnos.
