Program

DAY 1: DEPARTURE FOR AUSTRALIA

Today you will depart by scheduled flight to Adelaide, Australia with Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines or Cathay Pacific with a halfway stop in Bangkok, Singapore, or Hong Kong respectively.

 

DAY 2: ARRIVAL ADELAIDE – AUSTRALIA (D)

You’ll arrive in the late afternoon the next day in the largest city in the state of South Australia, Adelaide. Upon arrival, you will receive a private transfer from the airport to your hotel in the city center. After check-in at your hotel, you will be expected in one of the most beautiful rooftop bars in the city overlooking the Indian Ocean. After this you are expected for dinner in a wine restaurant. Welcome drinks and dinner in a wine restaurant can also be scheduled the next day so that you can relax this evening.

DAY 3 – ADELAIDE (B)

After breakfast you are expected to tour the Central Market of Adelaide. This market has long been the epicenter where you can find the best ingredients and wines, and home to every chef and foodie. This 140-year-old market, which has existed since 1869, is a true cultural meeting place.

Adelaide’s Central Market is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest fresh produce market with more than 80 stalls and has become a real tourist attraction. This tour leads you in an interactive way, as it were, through the various specialties of this multicultural state where you will be able to taste different partial dishes with a local food expert.

In the afternoon you will get a private transfer to a winery located near Adelaide. Here you will be offered a guided tour and a wine tasting. This is how you get to know your Australian wines during this wine tour down under.

DAY 4 – ADELAIDE TO CLARE VALLEY (B, D)

After breakfast, pick up your rental car near the hotel and drive towards Clare Valley today, one of the lesser-known but better wine regions of South Australia. This region is not only locally known for its wines but also for its local products that are prepared in the best restaurants in the region. During this fun drive of about 140 kilometres, you can stop at several places to take photos, have a coffee or a drink, or take a walk here and there. We are happy to make recommendations. If desired, you can also drive directly to the Clare Valley without stops.

At the end of the day you will check-in your new accommodation, a nice bed&breakfast located near the vineyards of the Clare Valley, for the next two nights. After check-in you will be offered a dinner with wine pairing.

DAY 5 – CLARE VALLEY (B)

After breakfast, get on your bike today, or why not a retro cruiser, and explore the vineyards around the beautiful winery where you will be staying in the Clare Valley. You have all day to go where you want, take beautiful photos, and relax.

The Clare Valley is the place to go for the more beautiful wine tours in South Australia. The 35 km Clare Valley Riesling route offers constantly changing landscapes with a beautiful mix of vineyards, wine farms, wine cellars to visit, nature and small villages. It is also one of the most accessible and easier self-guided cycling routes along the Riesling trail to ride.

During this tour through the Clare Valley which is known for its Riesling wines you will visit 3 beautiful leading wine cellars where you can participate in a wine tasting and learn about this beautiful grape.

On the way, you can have lunch in one of the many restaurants where all the dishes are prepared with local fresh products. You can also pick up your meal to have a picnic among the vineyards. This way you can have a delicious lunch and relax with a glass of Riesling between the vineyards for a real Australian laidback experience between the vineyards.

DAY 6 – CLARE VALLEY TO BAROSSA VALLEY (B)

After breakfast, drive today for about a hundred miles towards one of Australia’s more famous wine regions, the Barossa Valley. On the way to the Barossa Valley you have all morning to go wherever you want and see the beautiful surroundings, take pictures and so much more.

After lunch, you are expected in the afternoon at an authentic wine farm where you will follow a winemaking workshop. During this workshop you will be invited to the real laboratory of the winemaker. You will see with your own hands what effects of mixing the different grape varieties such as the Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre on the taste of the wine. You can then take the homemade wine home with you in a personalized bottle.

After this pleasant workshop, you will check-in for three nights at a beautiful located Bed & Breakfast with view on the vineyards of the Barossa Valley. The rest of the afternoon and evening you can still fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings consisting of hills and the vineyards.

DAY 7 – BAROSSA VALLEY (B)

Today, after breakfast, you will take the Centenary Tour, the ultimate tour in Seppeltsfield and an unique experience. You will visit a family farm, followed by a private tasting of premium liqueur wines including one 100 years old. The tour ends in the Centennial Cellar from 1878. This unforgettable experience will surprise and amaze you. During this tour, you will be offered two wine tastings.

DAY 8 – BAROSSA VALLEY (B, L)

After breakfast, today you will go for a wine masterclass at one of the most famous Australian wineries, Jacob’s Creek. Here you will learn some notable similarities in food and wine while delving into the world of flavouring pairing. This master class lasts all day.

DAY 9 – BAROSSA VALLEY TO ADELAIDE HILLS (B)

After breakfast, drive towards Adelaide Hills. You have complete freedom over what you visit today. Of course, we are happy to give you advice depending on your preferences and wishes. At the end of the day, check in to a beautiful hillside hotel with sweeping views across the Adelaide Hills vineyards.

You will spend 2 nights in a beautifully renovated, classic boutique hotel with comfortable and modern rooms. The hotel offers a restaurant serving seasonal and local dishes. The hotel also offers a lounge bar, library, swimming pool, BBQ, tennis court and spa with a range of treatments. DAY 10 – ADELAIDE HILLS (B)

After breakfast you will visit several wineries today and you will have the chance to taste different wines of the Adelaide Hills wine region during two wine tastings. Also, many other products are also prepared here in an authentic manner. Cheese, chocolate, cider and beer are all prepared here in the traditional way with hands and heart. Depending on the time of year you come here, you can bring a basket and pick delicious fresh fruit, and cheese is also made.

DAY 11 – ADELAIDE HILLS TO ADELAIDE (B)

After breakfast you drive to Adelaide airport. You deliver your rental car at the airport in the early afternoon for your flight back home by the end of the afternoon… or extend your trip to one of Australia’s other beautiful wine regions. Ask us about the possibilities.
